Secret would not be what it is today without it's founder, who
also happens to be the owner and active president to this day.
For More than 10 years now, Mr. Kazuhiko "Smoky" Nagata
has been tuning and creating vehicles under the Top Secret name
and making the world well aware of both presences. Mr. Nagata
had been active in the automotive and tuning industry long before
Top Secret was created. In fact, he was a critical person in another
Japanese tuning/engineering company that will remain unnamed.
Smoky, while working with that unnamed company, also began working
on secretive projects and tuning vehicles at night. These projects
were always referred to as Top Secret. When it was time to start
his tuning shop, Mr. Nagata already had a name for his new project,
TOP SECRET.
While
the first creations of Mr. Nagata's were green in color, he found
inspiration and motivation to succeed when the olympics came to
town. Inspired by the olympic gold medal, Top Secret's now famous
gold paint was then created.
Making
a name for himself proved not to be too difficult for a man who
liked the thrill of smoking the tires on any vehicle he was in.
As captioned in Japanese in the picture below, "Anytime,
anywhere, SMOKY!" Smoky's
wild stunts of 340k plus speeds on highways and public roads havent
gone unnoticed as you will see pictured below. |

explaining the plan for the night, a lovely cruise at 340kph
on the M1 expressway in England. While the stunt was a success,
Smoky had to pay the conseiquences in a British Jail before
being released and having the car returned.

While
the police weren't too happy about Smoky's endeavor on the M1
in England, the press seemed to eat it up. Be sure to look for
Smoky and the whole lineup of Top Secret vehicles in future
Option magazine and video releases.
